Terms of Service

Effective: 2026-08-15 · Updated: 2026-09-11 (English version added, refund policy linked)

1. About the service

PhotoVim ("the Service") is an image editor that runs in your browser. It offers layer and mask based editing, and image generation and editing through external AI models.

2. Accounts

  • You sign in with a Google account. There is no separate password to create.
  • You are responsible for activity on your account.
  • We may restrict an account for breaking these terms, abusing the service, or repeatedly violating an AI provider's policies.

3. API keys (BYOK)

  • You may add your own Google Gemini or OpenAI API key to use AI features.
  • Charges for using your key are billed to you by that provider. We are not part of that billing.
  • Keys you add are stored only on your computer (browser storage) and are not sent to our servers. Generation requests also go from your browser directly to that provider.
  • If you clear your device or browser data, your keys are gone too and we cannot recover them.
  • Looking after your key is your responsibility. We never hold it, so we are not liable if a key leaks or if someone else uses it and the provider bills you for that use.
  • If you think a key has leaked, revoke it in that provider's console right away and issue a new one.

4. AI output

  • Rights and permitted use of generated output follow the terms of each AI provider (Google, OpenAI and others).
  • You must not request generations that infringe others' rights or break applicable law or provider policy.
  • We do not guarantee the quality or accuracy of AI output.

5. Credits and payment

  • You may buy credits to use AI features without your own API key. Credits are usable only inside the service and are not exchangeable for cash.
  • Each model costs a different number of credits, shown on screen before you generate.
  • If a generation fails, the credits are returned automatically. If a generation completes, credits are not returned even if you dislike the result.
  • Payments are handled by Paddle as the merchant of record. Your purchase contract is with Paddle, and Paddle issues receipts, handles tax and manages payment methods. Paddle appears on your card statement. Payment terms follow the Paddle Buyer Terms.
  • Refunds follow Paddle's process, and may be requested within 7 days of purchase for credits you have not used. See our Refund Policy for details.
  • Purchased credits do not expire. If your account is deleted, any remaining credits are removed with it.
  • Trial credits given at sign-up were not paid for and are not refundable.

6. Your content

  • You keep the rights to the images and project files you edit.
  • We do not use your images for anything other than AI processing. See our Privacy Policy for how that works.

7. Availability

  • The service is provided "as is", and features may change or stop without notice.
  • Work in progress in your browser can be lost if you do not save it. Autosave is a convenience and does not guarantee preservation.
  • To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from use of the service.

8. Changes to these terms

We post changes on this page, and announce important changes on the sign-in screen.
